  10. What is Exile?
  11.  
  12.     Exile is a fantasy role-playing game. What is that? 
  13. Well, its like a fairy tale or Tolkein novel, right there in 
  14. your computer. You play a party of adventurers, a group of 
  15. warriors and mages, thieves and holy people, going on quests, 
  16. solving puzzles, doing good (and bad) deeds.

  18.     Exile is designed to be as simple as possible to learn 
  19. and play. If you, like many game-players, dislike reading the 
  20. manual before jumping into the game, go ahead. It is recommended 
  21. you read the Introduction, look at the illustrations to see what 
  22. the buttons do, and, if you plan to design your characters from 
  23. scratch (eventually a good idea), the section describing what the 
  24. skills are. Also, the Hints For Getting Started section near the 
  25. end of the manual contains some useful hints.
